Secret Government agency the Men in Black hunt down an illegal alien.

Will Smith stars as James (aka Agent J), an NYPD cop with a big mouth and an affinity for wise-ass comments, who gets recruited by Agent J (Tommy Lee Jones), a secret agent for MIB. Agent J is soon introduced to the revelation that aliens are living on Earth amongst humans, in disguise. With his new black suit and shades, Agent J goes with K on a mission to track down a giant bug which is trying to threaten the peace between humans and aliens.

Men in Black is a slick sci-fi action comedy, with inventive humour right the way through. Will Smith is really at home in his part as J, and gives an inspired performance. Unlikely though it may seem, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones have a good on-screen chemistry between them, which makes for some hilariously funny scenes.

The score should also be credited, especially since Smith released a highly successful single to coincide with the release of the movie in theatres, and in a way, the single was a major reason for the success of the movie.

The 2 disc DVD set includes lots of extras, notably the aforementioned music video from Will Smith, and plenty of featurettes. The disc includes commentaries by the director Barry Sonnenfeld, Rick Baker and the people from ILM.

Truly hilarious the whole way through, Men in Black got everything right.
